I don't recall those. All the valve cover washers I've seen are plain aluminum alloy and are supposed to deform a little bit when torqued. Maybe someone else has seen them.

I have seen washers with a rubber inner part that are used to seal drain plugs or bolts that go into holes with oil on the other side, but not on 911's.
