Installing new torsion bars and spring plate bushing but the right side is sticking out. The dvr side when in no issues but this side is pushing the cap out of the spring plate when I tighten up the cover. I hit it with a soft hammer not very hard (space limited) and seemed to go a little more in the inner splines but still sticking out.
Any way to clean/check inner splines? Old bar came out and stuck in the spring plate so I used air hammer to remove it from plate. New bar is same length (maybe 1mm longer) sway-a-way bought from Pelican.
Do I hammer on it harder to set it into inner splines before bolting down spring plate?
