If you have the factory 3.2 intake stud, the short end is installed in the head. The 3.2 intake has an insulator block and 2 gaskets that go on the stud under the manifold. The factory used an allen barrel nut similar to the cam housing nuts to hold this manifold on. If you plan on using the nuts there is a very thick 8mm washer that goes under the nut.
I'm wondering why you did not use 3.2 heads in this conversion? Every conversion of this type that we've done or seen used 3.2 heads. The have a shorter boss and much larger ports to match the 3.2 intake.
