Yes, I have a 2.4E. So I am a little biased. But I have had most of the 2.2's and 2.4's in one of my cars at some point. For spirited street driving the E will keep a smile on your face, especially 3rd gear on an on ramp. I'm smiling just thinking about it!

All the engines are fun though, but for the money the 2.4E is the way to go. It's the fasted of the 2.2's and 2.4's and costs way less than an S engine.

The 2.2T is the only one I'd stay away from. But you can pick one up pretty cheap and it can easily be stroked to a 2.4. It would end up a 2.4T with ~2.4S compression. Definitely a fun street car.

So my advise would be to pick up whichever you can find the best deal on. A 2.2 stroke to a 2.4, and a 2.4 just leave alone.

All this is my humble opinion of course. Other opinions may vary.
