Teardown Day one: That's why it leaked

I tore into my first 911 engine today. Saving all hardware int baggies, and following wayne's book.

I started to take the 4,5,6 cam tower off and that's when I found what you are NOT supposed to do. Scribe the cylinder number with huge numbers into the mating surface.

and then AGAIN on the cam tower...

Amazing my car didn't leak gallons onto the street with that black stuff on there in a big bead.

This is where my insane ticking came from. A fried rokcer and cam lobe from a blocked squirter...

And lastly... Here is what an impact wrench can do to an adjusting flange.. Don't try this at home
