"Oil pressure on freshly built 2.4 with all oil system upgrades including Cam oil restrictors is over 115 psi @ 5000 , 25 psi at idle 65 C oil temp. Cold oil temps (20C) are higher 38 psi at idle for example.

Pressure is correct measured with calibrated mech. gauge, both relief pistons verifed and not sticking."


Your idle pressures seem okay, but your normally operating pressures are high. If you made that observation, why do you say the "pressure is correct...."?

Do you think the previous factory camshaft oil restrictors (larger orifice) will reduce the oil pressure by 50 psi or so? I think you should look at the pressure relief system for a solution.
