Quick update. NO, I didn't make my memorial day race. As we all know...things take a bit longer than we expect them to. Mostly it's because of time in my life, but there was a manpower and product sourcing issue too. We've got it all worked out though...and I'm rocking.

Since I've gotten it, I've:

Stripped the hood, decklid, fenders, doors
Removed rear suspension (springplates and torsions. Those springplates were REALLY happy to be where they've been for the last 35 years....)
Cut off stock rear flares, in preparation for the SC flares
Installed harness bar
Installed Harnesses and race seat
installed new steering wheel
Dropped original 2.0 engine and tranny

Next on the list:

Run lines and electrical for 3.0 motor, and install
Remove stock brakes (My 72 has stainless lines, rebuilt calipers, etc...) and install brakes from 72.
Install Sway a way adjustable springplates

Fun goodies in the garage to be installed (or ordered soon):

Springplates
21-27mm torsions
New shifter bushings
Bump Steer Kit
Adjustable drop links
Weltmeister Sway Bar
Speedo (Thanks lars!) Strut Tower Brace
BMW 320i Front calipers
8"-10" Steelie Race wheels (Thanks Souk!)
245/275 Hoosier AS04
RS front bumper
Lightweight battery
SC Flares

Then...it's on to stripping the body and getting it ready for paint...yes, I know "now's the time"...but I have to race the thing for this season!

Having fun so far!!!! Anyone who wants to help with the fun, drop me a line!
