I'm going to get there Friday afternoon. To set up camp, relax a bit, and to be ready for the first night race on Friday. Friday's night race is mostly the historic cars, while Saturday's night race is mostly vintage.
If any of you Pelican folks want to stop by and have a drink, my camp will be at turn 10. During these races the place is all but deserted, so finding my camp at turn 10 should be easy.
Something else that is really cool, since the turn out is usually light, there is a walk-over bridge just before the hairpin. During the night races you can lay down on the bridge just over the track. Lay there as if you are trying to take a nap. What soothing music having 962's, 935's passing at full song just below you, plus the bridge shakes from the shock wave. Really cool.
