Aside from the above, check all electrical contacts and components, incl points, plugs, wires, distributor, connector in engine compartment, plugin connectors under dash, fuses and relays and their sockets.

The mixture setting is a good one to check as mentioned. Does your idle dip and then swing back up to normal when coming to a stop?

Another one to check is your ignition switch and related wiring.

The fuel pump is another possibility.

I like to check the easily replaceable/ accessible items first. Then move on if I don't find the solution.
