the conclusion I have come to after talking to several Targa owners with Targa Bars is that if you have a "tight" car the noticable difference is minimal. If your car is more "flexy", as many higher mileage 911's are, the difference is more noticable.

There is not doubt that a triangulated roll bar is probably superior, but I am a family man and need to put children in the back seat.

I plan to put then in my car even though it feels pretty tight, because if it slows down the inevitable cracking of the body in front of the door pillars, it will have been worth the expense.
