Often seen on E-bay, there are turbochargers that are just a physical copy of the real thing and totally unusable in real world.
Here is an example of turbocharger made to look like Garrett. They couldn't quite replicate intricate casting process used by Garrett so they just casted two halves and glued them together
They could at least use something else instead of paper-glue.
Turbine housing was made of pig-iron (from Mao's "Great Leap" backyard furnaces?)
