We bought "a chinese intercooler" from trough group buy which was custom ordered to fit SAAB 9000. It was OK and quite cheap. But it didn't have any fake trademarks attached.

It was well specified thing w/o moving parts.

On the other hand, I've seen copies of Greddy items which were sub-par. I've also examined custom made chinese headers. While looking bling-bling and electro-polished to look good, they weren't stainless and had really tacky weld swamps inside of pipes. They did work though.

Generally, I wouldn't buy any chinese aftermarket automotive equipment that has moving parts. Turbochargers I've seen were ranging from barely usable to dead weights.

Intercoolers were OK.

It's hard to say wheter to buy chinese parts or not, but let's just say it pays to be very observant and selective.
Thank you for your time,
