Currently, it looks like the 4" core I/C that i have is not going to work without some form of modifications.
Chris: from your configuration, it appears that i will definately have trouble because my highest point on the motor is the intake (about 1" higher than the top of the fan) not the fan. I am highly considering in trading my plastic intake for an alum. one then having it shortened (will mess up the torque slightly, but at least the motor will fit.).
From my measurements, it appears that the top of my I/C will sit almost flush with the lower lip of the deck lid opening (front of motor).
From the pics of your GT2 wings, there is a slope towards the back of the car in regards to the top of the wing. I think i can tilt my I/C but it is going to be close.
Other thoughts is to get a 993 based wing (with removable grill) and raise the grill slightly.
I agree with all of you that a tall GT2 bi-wing might be too tall on a cabrio. I am considering a strosek type wing with a raised grill.
