Hi neighbor had his top end rebuilt for $9,000

This included everything from piston rings to valve steam seals.
The P/C were in spec and reused.

I do not know if this is a fair price or not but he car runs nice and zero oil leaks.

Anyway his is very happy with his rebuilt motor. I still wonder if $9,000 is too much for his top-end rebuild.

He laughed at me when I was rebuilding my Isuzu rodeo but the I explained I wanted motor rebuild experience of any kind to develop my skills.

He was impressed with all the manuals and tools I collected over the years including a complete MAC TOOL CIS tester, valve seat grinder, and 70's Snap-On valve grinder which I refurbished to grind my own valves and seats.

I explained that I was preparing to own my first used 930 and wanted to be ready to handling maintain and repair my own 930.

Five years and two Isuzu rodeo rebuilds ( I have two rodeos) later I finally bought my first 930 and I so excited I cannot focus at work or sleep at night!!

I just need to learn turbo charging theory and all this hype about boost.
