Before you guys rebuild them. Try this. Compress the pistons back in and bleed the hell out of the system with a pressure bleeder. I mean BLEED THE HELL out of it. Push the pistons out, then back in and bleed again. Most of the time you will find that this is going to cure the stickys from sitting. Not to mention save a few $s in the process.
Now, if the dust covers are torn or you are leaking fluid all bets are off.
