If you've removed the torsions, I'll offer that it's the shock mounts getting ready to self-distruct. I really doubt that they were designed to support the weight that you're putting on them. I'm sure there are many folks here who can better discuss the differences between the 80's cars shock mounts and the 90's cars with factory C/O, but in my racing experience we beefed up the shock/strut mounts significantly on coil over conversions. This was for Mustangs though - maybe the P-cars are already strong enough, but I wouldn't bet my paycheck on that.....
