Its tough to say but it could be like you suggested your throwout bearing but it could also be your mainshaft bearings getting a little tired.

If you push the clutch pedal to the floor the noise should stop and as you let the clutch out ( In neutral) you should start to hear the noise. chances are that its the throwout bearing though.
