Very good point, and one to heed for sure.
Control the leanness for safety - and the richness for power - and result in an AFR that is relatively level can lead to prety decent power gains, safety and better mileage. For not terribly much money. But...it will take patience and time.
For me it was this:
RPM solenoid to control lower (3,200 to roughly 5,000) RPM full boost extreme richness.
3.4L, SC heads, 964 cams, B&B headers, K27 HF ZC turbo, Ruf IC. WUR & RPM switch, IA fuel head, Zork, G50/50 5 speed. 438 RWHP / 413 RWTQ -
