I own an 87 turbo and I noticed that turbos up to 1986 have a specific shifter. What changes did they make for my 1987. My car had an early 915 type and worked like hell. I took it out and replaced it with a 4 speed shifter from Einmalig in H.B., Ca. I guess someone replaced the original for some reason and geez it had 5th gear and reverse lockout. what a mess. Car didnt shift right and wore the synchros. I get a little scatchiness going into 3rd sometimes. Most people have forgotten what the car should have. I also would like to bend the shifting lever back toward me alittle. I think Ferry Porsche designed the shifter ergo for midgets. I'm 6'2" and have to result to some stretching to hit first and third. Poor me... 6 bones for a Wevo ? maybe after the k27 upgrade.
