There was an article in GT Purely Porsche a while ago about buying a very good 930. can't remember what was said verbatim but along the lines of, an appreciating classic. That does'nt mean it's a good investment. I think what their eluding to is that your not likely to lose money over your ownership time. Which I guess is a good if you own the car for a while have some fun and move on and your not out of pocket.

Not sure about the US but here in Oz it's becoming very difficult to find an unmodified original Australian delivered car. If you find one here with low kms and one or two owners and in VERY good original condition you'll part with AU$60-70k for an '80-'85. I paid AU$60k for my Aust. Del. '85 1 owner with 93,000kms with fsh.

As for a 993TT, we are paying close to AU$140k for a very nice example
