Often the reinforcements break - in my opinion the WEVO consoles are a final and robust way to do the job.
On my ex-911SC with the 3.6, I went thru the stockers, the factory reinforced mounts, then the WEVOs.
The way the stock mounts are fabricated - I think the convoluted metal throughout the mount is too thin, and any reinforcement is suspect to fail again.
I'm looking at that now myself. Though I have a set of new Wevo mounts i'm thinking I can weld in a piece of plate thet will weld right to the existing mounts and nuts.
