Don't feel bad, my wife beats me off the line in her Nissan Armada(a pretty quick SUV), but it is only for about 40-50 feet. Most any automatic car or even many manuals are going to beat me for the 1st. few feet because I have no boost and walk the car off the line.

That does not explain your problem though. I think you have a BIG boost leak somewhere. Here is how my car behaves and I think it is typical for a lightly modded 930:

Nothing up through first part of first gear...THEN....big boost and tires break loose pretty good and car will start to get loose side to side until you let off. If I wanted to, I could do a pretty good muscle car style burnout. If I hammer it the tires will chirp and break free a little on the 1st to 2nd shift as well.

Could probably get boost earlier and spin them right off the line, but as I indicated, I baby it off the line until I slam it down.
