Bought my car with a '78 RoW 930 motor, 8:0.1 C/R, SC cams, stock turbo, wastegate, CIS and headers, mated to a '77 915.

It'd hit boost in 1st around 3500-4000 or so - you didn't generally want that, because it'd redline almost instantly and hooking 2nd was a better way to go fast(er).

A mild 930 will boost quite hard on a 915 1st gear, which is way lower than a 4-speed 930 1st - an open wastegate dump pipe leaves you in no doubt at all.

Can't tell you exactly how much boost though, because you don't tend to look at the gauges when 150 ponies you weren't expecting make a grand entrance...
'77 S with '78 930 power and a few other things.
