I have a 930 fairly similar to that one (except 4 speed) and used to have a 1994 3.6 turbo which is fairly similar (except 2 wheel drive) to the 993TT.

Both cars have great looks and style so on that issue they are a tie.

If you are using it as a daily driver then the clear choice is the 993TT. Comfort is more important than speed.

However, if speed and weight are more important, clearly the 930 is in an entirely different league than the 993TT. The 993TT will never be as light and agile as a well tuned 930. The 993TT will lose to many cars on the street today. The 930 will not.

If you can appreciate a car that is stock buy the 993TT (Porsche does great work). If you feel like you might modify it at some point just buy the already done 930.

Don't let cost be too much of a determing factor in your decision. Please let us know what they cost so we can keep up with the market (and see how much we have lost on our modified cars). But don't let cost make your decision. This is a silly purchase no matter how you look at it. Don't over think it. Go with your gut.

Better yet buy them both. Drive the 993TT when you want comfort and class. Drive the 930 when you want the baddest car around.
