I agree with Brian:

You can get beyond 400+hp with CIS, but over 450hp requires EFI to avoid risk of damaging your motor due to running the motor dry on boost - not enough fuel getting to the motor.

I had a 930 with a 425hp motor (at 0.8bar) with CIS - euro CIS - SC cams, K27/7006, 7.5:1 compression and race headers. It was very responsive and fun behind a 5spd close ratio trans. The car was lightened (fibre bumpers and other useless items removed) and was very quick on the street and fun to play with.

Just keep in mind what your plans are for using the car. If you are not scared in spending big bucks then there are a few places in florida that would be glad to build you a monster.
