What is your budget?
I also once had a '78 SC with 80K miles and needed more power .............

The smartest way to approach the project is to sell your SC and buy a 930. This isn't about smart, it's about having fun with a project.

The way you approach the conversion directly depends on your budget. Turbocharging an SC engine with 100K miles on it is probably not a good idea unless you keep the boost really low, which defeats the purpose.

Next question: 350FWHP or 350RWHP? Huge difference in cost when you cross that line. The 915 can live at 350FWHP but not at 350RWHP.
