A failed slave cylinder or more specifically, a failed throwout bearing in the slave cylinder, will cause the rear input seal to leak. I don't know if it will aslo cause oil to migrate to the clutch plates.

BTW, I think those splines look good for 60K. If the splines are gonna go, they are toast by 30K, normally earlier.
