I used a sensor that looked like a flat bullet. It came in either 1/2" or 3/8" dia. I used it with a Clewett holder. I also really like Clewett. But I don't like electromotive. Those crank sensor left me stranded 3 times and now my dog hates my car cause of the severe backfiring that the bad crank sensor caused.

I have about 3k miles on the Ford sensor. I do trust it. I have never heard of one failing. But I don't get out much. I suppose it is possible.

If I were you I would at least dump the crank sensor.
