Ive used Arp's in everything I have built since the age of 12 and I have never had a problem. Nor have I had a problem with the Supertecs or even the Porsche motor sports/ stock studs. At the point of splitting hairs, these pieces of hardware are only as good as the builder that installs them. I think the extra cost in the Supertecs are not in the material, but the R&D. The Supertec most likely have a better expansion characteristic than the Arps because the ARPs are basically just a very high quality grade 8 bolt/stud. I use the ARPs because it is worth the 3-400$ difference to me to take the chance. If my heads lift, I buy Supertec studs- spend a night in the garage + a case of beer and away I go, my woman will wait for me...
