I hear you. Good attitude to have. I should be that way more. 
He probably has a bunch of stuff I can use, but he doesn't (understandably) seem to want to take time to publish the whole list, and I'm tired of playing 20 questions.
What length, diameters, and rate is your misprocured spring?
