Having had my R1200S a little over a year myself, the one thing for me that was an initial gripe was the non-linear throttle. I thought that the engine felt too "soft" rolling it on. That opinion changed once I started being much more aggressive after the first .6K break-in & service. Now it's just standard operating procedure to give the throttle plenty of twist.

Also, I still remember the first time feeling the in-line four rush above 6,500 RPM and thinking that this is one incredible boxer engine! I'm not a wheelie guy either, but I can confirm it will pull the front wheel up without any problems in first gear.

Funny, I don't seem to have any problems keeping up with my friend's R1 on the street this year......
