930 Weltmeister rear sway bar

I purchased a used rear 22mm Weltmeister sway bar for my '77 930. Most of the hardware was not included. I had to machine the small spacers that attach to the heim joints where the bolt passes through and order the eccentrics and clamps to attach it to the car. I attempted installation over the weekend and discovered the spacing on the body and clamp do not line up. The spacing on the car is much narrower. Also, the bar apparently needs some sort of spacer to move it far enough away from the front transmission mount to clear. Does anyone out there have experience with installing a rear bar on a first-generation turbo?
