FS: Sparco Evo Seat

I am selling my Sparco Evo seat (gray in color), along with its 968 seat rails all installed, so installation for any 968 person will be a piece of cake. This is a very lightweight seat, and works great for track and autocross applications. It has two levels of removable seat bottom cushions, which can be a big help if you are over 6ft tall and are wearing a helmet!

These seats retail for $699 new, and that's without the 968 sliders all set up and mounted. In addition, I modified the slider assembly so that the carpet doesn't interfere with locking the seat in place horizontally (a problem initially).

The first $450 takes it. I can send photos if you like (just PM me).

Anyway, the seat is terrific, and has slots for a 5pt harness (you can't do 4pt harnesses any more beginning in 2008 if you're doing PCA events). In addition to being safer, you'll be losing a bunch of weight by swapping a stock seat for this one!

Why am I selling it? I have bought two new track seats that are wider for my wife's comfort. The Evo fit me like a glove (I'm 6ft tall, 180lb), but was a bit narrow for her.

Here is a description of the seat I found out on the 'net:

Evolved from the Rev seat, the Sparco Evo was designed and developed in co-operation with the most prestigious Sparco drivers of the DTM and ITC Championships. Designed specially for a free driving position, even in extreme competition conditions. The special shape of the shell and the new construction technology which sandwiches carbon-kevlar-carbon, have given increased rigidity for excellent driving sensibility (while keeping the weight extremely low). Films of homologation crash tests confirm the Evo's first place in the rigidity/resistance ratio.

Sparco Evo Features:

* Cushions and back can be customized in various colors.
* Back and cushions can be removed to customize the back rest, height of the leg rest and the cushion padding.

The Sparco EVO is FIA Approved for race cars that require a FIA Homologated Racing Seat
