Funny, I recall reading the exact same quote (regarding the 930) from another Hawaiian, Danny Ongias.

I don't know if I completely agree with that part. Speeds are actually pretty slow (comparatively) in the twisties. So breaking some traction at the rear isn't as dangerous as at higher speeds. Stuff is a lot more "catchable." It's also a matter of knowing yourself, the car, the road conditions, etc. I'm always mindful of the on-off nature of the turbo's power delivery, but I certainly have a lot of fun in the canyons with my 930.
