'75 Rustoration - Excellent Body Repair Man in Portland, Oregon

Hello fellow 14'ers -

My '75 was sitting for several years after I dropped the engine for rebuild and planned rustoration of the engine bay - the battery tray and support were an indistinguishable mass of rust and the engine shelf below was a real mess. The car also had a hole rusted completely thru the left front wheel house back into the area behind the clamshell and some body damage to the left front fender, and typical rust spots in the rear trunk.

I finally got the finances to proceed and placed an ad on Craigslist for a body guy willing to work on it. Wouldn't you know that a guy responded who lives within 5 miles of me and has a huge shop - doing bodywork in his spare time.

He was immediately willing and able to do the work - great "can do" attitude with no b.s. Anyway I had the car hauled to his shop and now, one week later it is ready to pick up. His work is really well done and very reasonable. Anyone in the Portland area who would like this contact please email me and I will forward it to you. To give you an idea he fixed all the issues mentioned above including welding in the new engine shelf (Restoration Design) and battery tray/support, and repainting the engine bay for $850.

Gosh - to think that I am now able to install the engine and work on getting it running, finally, after 5 years of being without - can't wait!
