Porsche Rookie

Hello everyone. Recently I was fortunate enough to inherit a beautiful 1986 944 (maintenance history unknown but suspect well maintained). Unfortunately however, Iím currently not in the position to pay for a ton of maintenance.

Iím a better than average back yard mechanic so Iím thinking I could do most of what I need myself. But I canít seem to find any used OEM service manual (WKD-481-821). I have seen postings on this site that suggests downloading pdf files from http://www.cannell.co.uk/, which I did. However, Iíve found that all of these files (five or six total) are missing many pages; one on timing belt work of course.

My question is, can anyone suggest a source for quality manuals on CD perhaps (hoping cheaper), or should I just buck up and purchase the hard copies from this website.

Thanks in advance
