I went from 15s to 18s.

What I experienced when going from 225/255-15 to 255/345-15 was much greater adhesion with a "heavy" feel to the car. It lost some of its tossability.

What I experienced going from 255/345-15 to 255/315-18 was phenominal. The car ran like it was on rails with greater road feel. It fealt "tighter". The lack of 15" sidewall roll is huge!

To compare, the 345/35-15 has a sidewall height of 4.75" and a 24.5" radius.
The 315/30-18 has a sidewall height of 3.72" and a 25.4" radius. HUGE difference.
