My gauge is calibrated in PSI, and I see 100 PSI indicated on initial start @ 2000 RPM, maybe 110 with a little more throttle, before the internal engine thermostat opens. No pressure limiting happens before that, definately. That's way more than 5 bar (aka 73.5 PSI) - and the gauge is calibrated higher than that.

When hot, I see maybe 20-25 PSI @ idle and maybe 60-65 PSI @ 3500-4,000, higher with more revs. That's with 5,000 miles on a rebuilt bottom-end.

1 bar at idle and 1 bar per 1,000 RPM is factory minimum spec, I believe.
