I'm running the numbered temp gauge and the 0-140 PSI-calibrated pressure gauge that came with a '77 S. Nothing about the readings lead me to believe that they're not completely accurate with the stock 930 senders.

Turbos do generate lots of heat. Especially when hard-running, high ambients or sitting in traffic. FMOC is the fix for the first two, Carrera with fan for the last.

That said, 250 sounds too high to me. Two things:

i) Are you just assuming that the two gauges are the same scale? You mean you normally run at the bottom of the red band?

ii) Does your gauge have temperature markings on the far edge? Like this:

'77 S with '78 930 power and a few other things.
