Turn just over an inch of the strand of wire inwards (bend it approx 90 degrees where it comes away from the plastic) so it is inside the tube, bend it again if needed so the end does not rub on the tube.

Firstly though fold the very end of the wire over on to itself first about 1/8" like you can for lockwire ends, this is so it is not sharp.
