Im building multiple 911s at my friend's shop right now- all the kids my age are all about their STUPID Evos and STIs, I say they are junk and everyone there piles on me about it. But it is true, in ten years the 50 grand you spent buying/modding an evo or sti will be worthless as you will have an old, rusty, $h!tbox. In ten years I will still have a Porsche that will still be made with real material and still has its name and some if not most of its retail value.
Bottom line is I dont care how much power they make, when you have the whole world developing a car for a specific target market, you are going to get loads of horsepower. Nobody really does R&D on porsches aside from the few heavy hitters (protomotive, RUF, Gemballa) where the Japanese counterparts have hundreds of companies. Porsche are mostly done by private owners and small shops
