I did something similar to pass emissions in Georgia four months ago and liked my set up so much I haven't replaced it. I welded a Magnaflow cat to a straight shot bullet muffler. The exit is to the right hand side as I didn't want to bother inserting a "U" turn. Then again my set up was replacing a dual outlet GHL so I already had an opening in the right valence.

It has a nice throaty sound and I took the opportunity to weld in a bung for a wideband O2 sensor for the Innovate A/F system. Also a nice addition to the car as it let me easily pass emissions testing.

The only outstanding change is to fabricate a new exhaust pipe for the wastegate. Just something to fill in the opening in the valence on the left side.
