Well if turbine housing starts dislodging itself from CHRA I bet some oil will weep past the seals and get thrown around in housing by turbine wheel, to be turned by the smoke later on.

I would remove turbine housing to check for rubbing on turbine blades. If everything is OK, put it back, tighten the clamp and make sure your (homemade?) AN line fitting doesn't leak either.

It *might* be that easy. Worst case, there is play in the bearing, rear seal is shot or turbine blades rubbed. But with little luck, everything is still OK, just greasy
