I know that some tire shops advertise using nitrogen instead of air to fill tires.
I bet I could save a few milli-ounces, better even because it is unsprung weight!
It is hard for me to believe that you could save 500-600 hundred or so pounds by stripping items like a/c, glass, and some insulation.
Does anyone have a listing of how much these items really weigh individually to see the direct benefit of removing items?
With this info one could make decisions on what to change out first for the greatest effect.
Here are some webpages with that info:

I saved about 300+ pounds with all the basic removal items plus fiberglass bumpers. My car still has all the appearances of a luxury interior, and still has a CD player. No AC, but I get blown air through those AC vents which are still under my dashboard. I still have normal, comfortable seats.

Doing the lexan windows and fiberglass fenders and such is getting more extreme, but people do it all the time. I want my car to feel 100% vintage and normal so I don't go the final mile in weight savings.
