The cars with ABS (the 964 series do) have a different offset to the earlier cars. You will needs spacers and the best type to get is of the hub adapter type.
You will need to work it out exactly right at the front so the centre of the new wheel when viewed from above is exactly where the stock wheel was. As for the rear it just needs to look right. You should find you need approx 30mm of spacing + the distance of any spacer you may or may not remove. Work it out exactly though.
