I think the 930 valuation article is in the October issue of Excellence, every year.

For your PPI, pick a shop that is familiar with 930s. I had a so-called Porsche specialist do the PPI on mine. I felt like there were times I knew more about the breed than the wrenches. Also pick a shop of your choosing. Don't go to the shop that services this particular car, if possible. The shop will have an allegiance to the previous owner--not you.

If the PPI checks out, is 90K miles a lot? It seems rare to find a 930 that's gone that many miles without a rebuild. And one of those will run you $15-25K if you have it done in a shop. But I don't know if that's so much wear and tear on the motor, or if people just get the modification bug going, and the while-we're-in-there mentality. Still, you don't hear of any 300K-mile cars that have never been opened up, unlike those type of boasts on the SC and Carrera forums.
