Maybe they are measuring ride height to the fender lip. The front wheel cutout is higher than the rear. It is closer to a circle than the more eliptical rear. Therfore, the front fender lip to ground clearance would be greater than the rear. The important measurement is from "axle" center line to the center of the wheel hub, I think, and this is what effects suspension geometry,handling,downforce,etc. This should show the rake with the front being lower (a larger distance between the front "axle" center and front wheel hub center)
