open if he has something directed on the intercooler. If they are fixed out front of the car, then keep the lid closed as the fins on the lid will direct the air from over the car into the intercooler.

If they dont have a fan that can go directly on the intercooler, then you might want to bring a couple bags of ice in a cooler so you can cool the intercooler between pulls. this may help counteract the lack of airflow.
