This has happened to me several times. What I did was with my foot quickly insert it behind the top of the pedal and pull it back. " Now top that mario andretti". OK, seriously I spoke
with a porsche shop and the bracket that supports the pedal can get weak over time and
bend to the right causing it to bind on the chassis.
I purscased a new one and haven't had another problem. What you can do is remove it,
heat it up cherry red and quickly plunge it into cold water essentially heat treating it to
make it harder and less likely to bend.
