So, I went to my local mechanic today to see what he thought about my symptoms and he said it may be running to lean. He told me that the easiest way to check if it's running lean is to take off the air-box and push down on the disc a little in the CIS when the car is running and is cold. When I did this the car almost wanted to stall.

The car after it settles down seems to run at about 750 rpms until warm.


1) What is the best way to do an intake leak test?
2) What are the injector block gaskets? I'm guessing a gasket that is between the injector and the engine?
3) Where is the Lambda/frequency valve located. I know that there is an electrical plug on the back of the CIS system on top just behind the disc... is that it?

It has to be the "cold running mixture" like you said, but how is that adjusted? Also, does what my mechanic told me to do make any sense? The car would have stalled if kept the disc opened even a little.
